§ 36.40. Sale of city owned property.

  • All personal property of the city, including personal property grown or produced in city operations, except that set forth in § 36.41, and all real property and interests therein, except that set forth in § 36.47, which is not needed or is unsuitable for public use or which has been condemned as useless by the Director of the department having control and custody thereof, and, in the case of real property which has been declared as not needed or as unsuitable for public use by the Commission, shall be sold by the City Purchasing Agent without further action of the Commission, after opportunity for competition to the best bidder and under the terms and conditions as the City Purchasing Agent, together with the Director of the department, determine. The sales are to be final upon approval by the City Manager.
