§ 71.46. Duty to yield or stop on entering roadways or crossing sidewalk.

The operator of a vehicle or trackless trolley about to enter or cross a highway from any place other than at an intersection shall stop the vehicle or trackless trolley immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or sidewalk area extending across the vehicle path. The driver shall yield the right-of-way to pedestrians on the sidewalk or sidewalk area and to all traffic approaching on the roadway to be entered or crossed. (R.C. § 4511.431)
