§ 78.01. Definitions.

For the purposes of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings ascribed to them respectively:

Highway. That portion of public land set aside and maintained by the city as a thoroughfare open to the public for traffic use in connection with the utilization of the Ottawa Street yards or golf course facilities.

Ottawa Street yards. Any part of the property owned or under the control of the city in its management and operation of the facility known as the Ottawa Street yards.

Public safety and emergency vehicles. All vehicles defined as public safety and emergency vehicles in R.C. § 4511.01(D) and (E).

Roadway. Has same meaning as in R.C. § 4511.01(DD).

Stop. The halting of a vehicle for whatever period of time or whatever purpose except when necessary to avoid a conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the direction of a police officer, security officer, or traffic-control device.
