§ 136.06. Prostitution.

(A)

No person shall engage in sexual activity for hire.

(B)

Whoever violates this section is guilty of prostitution, a misdemeanor of the first degree (for penalty for first degree misdemeanor, see § 130.99). For a second offense and/or conviction there shall be a mandatory minimum 30 days confinement in jail and also a mandatory minimum $200.00 fine. For a third offense and/or conviction there shall be a mandatory minimum 90 days confinement in jail and also a mandatory minimum $500.00 fine. For a fourth and subsequent offense(s) and/or conviction(s), there shall be a mandatory minimum 180 days confinement in jail and also a mandatory minimum $1,000.00 fine. (R.C. § 2907.23)
